A Very Bookish Thanksgiving|5+1 Things to be thankful for

To all who celebrate it; Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Today I just wanted to make a quick little post addressing some of the points that I made in my Very Bookish Thanksgiving video which you can watch here. There are five bookish things that I am very thankful for, plus one non bookish thing that I feel is important to say.

1. E-books.

I am so very thankful for e-books. It just makes reading that much easier, especially if you are always on the go like I am. Having ebooks ready and available makes reading anywhere a real possibility.

2. Bookmarks

Okay, so I’m not always the best at using these. But, it’s the thought that counts, right? Still, I enjoy collecting these, and having a bookmark to use for a specific book that I don’t want to ruin the pages of, or even as something to fiddle with while I’m reading, is something that I really appreciate. So I’d like to say thanks for these!

3. Audio Books

So, maybe these could fall under the same umbrella category as the first one if I wanted to be picky about it, but I feel enough appreciation for audio books that I think it’s important to recognize them as a separate entity altogether. Audio books are amazing, honestly. For people who drive a lot, who like to multi task, or who need something to keep them busy as they work, I know that audio books make reading a lot easier. I would probably go crazy if I couldn’t listen to them while I was driving or at work, so for my sanity alone I’d like to throw out a little thanks to the many audio books that are available.

4. Bookish Candles/Bath Accessories

Whoever came up with the idea of infusing aspects of books in to things that can be enjoyed like candles and bath bombs/other bath accessories is an absolute genius. Having something to immerse you in a favorite book through smells or something to relax in at the end of the day is something I would have never realized I needed in my life if they didn’t exist. Seriously, whoever the mastermind behind this was, thank you.

5. The Bookish Community

What would I do without you guys? Here is a place where fellow bookworms can unite, talk about their favorite books they are reading or have read, books they can’t wait to see released, and ultimately what their opinion was on the latest book to movie disaster. I’m so happy and-you guessed it- thankful to be part of this community, and for all the friends I’ve made since joining it.

+1 Thank You that has to be said.

This one is for all of my family and friends, both on and offline, that have been with me, supported me, and cared for me. I don’t know what I’d do without you guys, but I’m really glad that I have so many amazing people in my life. There are a million things I want to say, but have no other words to say them in. Thank you all for being such wonderful people, and I can’t wait to see what adventures are ahead for us.

So, that is my list of things that I am thankful for this year. What are you all thankful for this year? Is it people? Books? The food you’re dying to eat? Let me know in the comments down below!

Thanks for reading. If you liked this entry then make sure you check out my last one here,  and keep up with me on other social media down below!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
